About Kathleen
Kathleen Puls has been an actor, improviser,
voiceover, writer and teacher in Chicago for several
years. Currently she can be seen in Put the Nuns in
Charge!, the hilarious long running sequel to Late Nite
Catechism at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago. Kathleen
also performs regularly with the Chicago Comedy Company
writing and performing original sketch and improv for
colleges and corporations around the country and in
Chicago. She is also a member of SAG/AFTRA, with numerous
voiceover credits to her name and is an EMC. She has
performed with, among others, The Apple Tree Theatre,
Straw Dog, Lifeline, The Chicago Improv Festival and
The Minneapolis Improv Fest and in Wozzek at The Lyric
Opera of Chicago. (While she sings, she was just staggering
drunkenly across the stage at the time.) She has also
taught improvisation at The Second City, along with
improv and voiceover workshops at Baylor University,
U of I, In Forte, and teaches voiceover at Bosco Productions
in Chicago. Kathleen is proud to be the creator and
producer of the Funny Women Fest, which ran from August
2000 to August 2004. This unique event showcased the
talents of women as educators, performers, writers and
producers of comedy and improvisation and attracted
women from all over the world. However, most importantly,
Kathleen knows the difference between bagels and bialys…and
flaunts it...frequently. (www.adventuresinfertility.com)
